Flood Passed
I loved watching the low sunlight skim across this dry riverbed, kissing the relics of the last water to flow this way. This individual curl was reflecting and intensifying the warmth, whilst the rest of the surface was bathed in blue sky light.
I had spent a happy hour, or more, finding details in the mud, but it was only in the final moments before the sun set that this magical combination of different coloured light was revealed.
This image was made along the ephemeral Hoarusib River in the Kunene region of northern Namibia.
